FAQ'S

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Exactly what experience do you have?

I am proud to have served for 26 years in public service. I have varied experience in multiple aspects of giving back to the community. I have tinkered with the internet for the last 12 years and found that I really enjoy (my wife says I enjoy it too much) creating web pages. I have served as the Network Administrator and Web Designer for several agencies. Currently, I am the Chief of Police and Village Administrator with the a small community in Wood County, Ohio.

2. Where is your client list?

If you looked for it, you didn't find it! Over the last 11 years I have designed dozens of web sites and quite frankly, I stopped adding to the "list". My web sites have included personal sites; educational sites; business and e-commerce sites as well as public agency/service sites. I have decided to limit my clientele so that I can focus on what I enjoy and what I know best - assisting public service agencies in reaching their respective communities; via the Internet!  I have always adopted a strict policy of developing sites FOR the client. Once completed, I have encouraged the client to keep their site current and fresh. In most cases I have trained my client's to change and revise their own site. After all, why pay me for something I can teach you to do! I have always preferred that their sites draw their own visitors, not mine. If you are looking for a list of those sites which I have created please feel free to contact me and I will point you in the right direction the best I can!

3. How can the Internet benefit our organization?

Wow, do you have all day for this answer! It is obvious (if it isn't, it should be) that the Internet offers an incredible communication venue. With this technology, comes a unique opportunity to utilize this form of communication to reach the public that we serve. How many "that-a-boy" phone calls have you received lately? You might be shocked on how much feedback you will receive as soon as you establish a simple E-Mail address. Unlike traditional media, the Internet is a 24/7 operation. With a tad bit of creativity and effort, it can work for you!

4. How can I use something, I don't even understand?

You are not alone! For some people, the Internet poses a formidable foe. Reality is, navigating the Internet is really quite simple. Unlike many Internet related companies, I can offer to take the time to train you and your staff to understand the Internet and related software applications. Truth be told it is really a challenge that I would love to undertake!

5. Why don't you have a specific price list?

This answer is simple! Every client has different needs. If I offered, for example, three different web hosting or design packages, then you might be paying for something you don't need or want. You may also be sacrificing something that you want, but is not offered. I prefer to determine exactly what your needs are, and find the solution that meets those needs. All of my solutions are flexible and I make an effort to accommodate you if your needs change. I provide services to benefit you, not to ensure that I make money for things you don't really need. I also prefer to charge, not by the hour (subject to abuse) but by an agreeable project price.   I am committed to my goal of linking your organization to the internet - I am not committed to my profit margain.
